This is a rough time to be in the advertising business. Online marketing is pushing it out of the way, folks are far too overstimulated, no one is spending and, naturally, there’s that pesky recession to consider. Those are the challenges Commission Blueprint 2 faces.
You may not have noticed, but this Google thing has become a big deal. The company itself is worth somewhere around 200 billion dollars, and its continuing to grow. You could also notice that the company offers just about all of its services for free. Thats because almost all of those things arent really its business.
No, Google is in the advertising business, online marketing style. What Google realized early on and profited massively from is the indisputable fact that folk are searching for stuff. Yes, I know this appears obvious, but give me a minute and I’ll explain.
According to Commission Blueprint 2.0, there had been a time when advertising was dominated by a few big corporations, spending millions of bucks on ad campaigns to reach thousands of people in the hopes that some share of those people, hopefully a large one but possibly a tiny one, would actually buy their products. Google wasnt actually interested in those folks.
Google spotted that there were millions of businesses, and if they could offer lots of businesses heaps of way to reach patrons for pennies, they could make a lot of money. Billions. And since they knew that there were plenty of folks looking for lots of things, they were in a position to rule the advertising business. Online marketing wasnt born with them, but it probably did grow with them.
This method of connecting hungry consumers with prepared companies actually is a revolution in the advertising business. Internet marketing means that you do not have to battle with other advertisers making an attempt to seive the great hordes of folks that dont want to hear you to start with, trying to find that one person who actually wants what you have.
There are two sides of online marketing ; finding that hungry shopper, and building relations. The hungry purchaser part is the simple one. If someone is looking for a way to stop feline incontinence and you have a way to stop feline incontinence, then it should be obvious that instead of shouting to the masses about what you have, you should be chatting with the individual that already wants what you have. The Net permits you do this, usually for cents.
The other aspect isn’t as clear, although you almost actually have seen it done in Commission Blueprint 2.0. That’s the conversation side of it. If you use Amazon, youve seen one of the masters of this at work. Amazon doesnt just sell to you; they try to get to know you, to offer things they believe you might like, to listen to what youre asserting. They do not use an advertising business, web marketing is what they use to get to the top.
You can do this, too. And you need to do this too. You must put a fence around your customers to stop them from rambling off, and to make sure youre giving them what they need and want.
If you’re running an advertising business and want to survive all of the issues youre going to face, you want to be in the business of offering these new methods to clients, to show them the best way to find that hungry customer and keep them.
